The wine dinner will consist of a variety constantly changing meal options and wines from around the world, the menu is usually decided the Wednesday before the dinner and the info on wine and food is fun and informative. Dave has been around food his entire life, learning how to cook at an early age from his Mom and Grandmother. When he was 21 he was taken in by Chef Bill Lopez in Chicago and work with Bill for nearly 2 years and was taught everything from soups and sauces to purchasing and menu planning, this lead to Dave opening his first restaurant in Peoria Ill called The Little Country Café. He work corporate food for a while and then started consulting with local restaurant to help them grow and develop their concepts.
Andy is a transplant from Chicago, having been a valley resident since 1971. He began his restaurant career in 1974, at Joe Connelly’s Elbow Bend, in Carefree, where he started out as a pantry worker, and ended up by 1978 as Sous Chef. Following that he worked at the Carefree Inn and Resort, and in the late ‘80’s moved back down into town. For two years he worked at the Palm Court ,in the Scottsdale Conference Center, and then went on to be part of the opening team of the Orange Tree Resort. He Culminated his career in the back of the house as Main Kitchen chef at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. Andy is currently a General manager of a local restaurant and has maintain his passion for cooking over the years
